Virtual Way of the Cross

The Calvary in Banská Štiavnica is unique in its concept. It is not modelled on the Jerusalem Way of the Cross (14 stations). It consists of 25 stations. The first 3 so-called "preparatory" stations, 7 sorrows of Jesus (right side), 7 sorrows of the Virgin Mary (left side), and 8 stations in three calvary churches and other smaller chapels.

The application allows you to take a virtual Way of the Cross on the Calvary in the historic mining town of Banská Štiavnica. It is one of the most beautiful calvaries in the area, not only in Slovakia but also in Europe.

It doesn't matter the weather, place, or time; you can fully feel this profound spiritual experience of the Way of the Cross through the text of individual prayers, the spoken word, and a 3D view at each stop. You will feel as if you are truly in a community of believers in this place, together remembering the events of Jesus's passion on the cross.
